Disguised dedicated hosting
One of the best costumes I’ve ever seen was someone dressed as a board game. They painted cardboard to look like the game board, and wore it like a vest. Then they slipped this over tights and a turtle neck with the game pieces glued on the sleeves. They wore the spinner on their head like a hat, and made earrings out of dice. Another great costume was someone dressed like a computer. They had dressed their baby as an exterior hard drive. They were followed by two other people dressed in formal wear who were very solicitous to everyone the met. They were dressed as dedicated hosting. That was genius. Everyone at the party grinned and groaned as they got the inside joke. The capper was the baby dressed as a computer mouse and then toddler dressed as a printer. If they had another kid, they could have had a netbook.
